You are generating a negative iron concentration with your MIX 88 definition: Fe 1 -.0013 3.3e-3 2 0 3 .0705 1.2e-5 95 .9307 4.6e-8 Calculated iron concentration is -3.3e-6. If Equilibrium_phases 2 had 3.3e-6 or more of Fe(OH)3(a), the program would add sufficient iron to make a nonnegative concentration. However, the moles of Fe(OH)3(a) is 0 and the system as a whole has a negative amount of iron. The program quits. It does appear to be a bug in PhreeqcI. It should give the message "Negative concentration in system." and return to the main screen of PhreeqcI.
