Blank Run
A 0.25 m ice core of deionized-distilled water (18MegaOhm) was frozen to -24 C
It was prepared for ECM using the same methods for the UFG core
The mean value of the “blank” core was an order of magnitude lower than the mean UFG core value and two to three orders of magnitude lower than any significant ECM peaks measured on the length of the UFG core
