Re: database




Thanks for the notice of your database. I downloaded the .gz version for
PHREEQC and was able to use it. However, I think it was an ascii file and
not in .gz format.

I ran a test problem with all the elements just to see how things looked. I
made the same run with llnl.dat (distributed with PHREEQC) and enclose both
for your information. Not surprisingly, the distribution of species is
quite different. Some differences may bear looking into.

The log K for SO2(G) appears to be in error in your database. I suspect a
sign error in the derivation of the log K.
