If you have Microsoft Office 2000 I'd try the SR1 Update found at:
http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/O9regfix.aspx
Otherwise I'd try the mcrepair.exe tool:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/msninvestor/patch/1.0/win98/en-us/mcrepair.exe
When it prompts you to overwrite Newer files, make sure you click YES for
each file.

I installed PhreeqcI v2.8.0.0 on my home machine yesterday without
incident. Today I
attempted to install it on my office machine and encountered the following:
Unhandled Exception
Error Number 0x80070725
Incompatible version of RPC stub
Installation terminated
I'm running Windows 98, 2nd ed., v. 4.10.2222A with a Pentium III
