Running a Simulation Using Data Prepared for VS2DH 1.0
Note: This feature is intended for knowledgeable users who want
to work with existing data files originally prepared for VS2DH 1.0.
To run a simulation in the postprocessor using data originally prepared for
VS2DH 1.0, the user must apply one of the following "migration" procedures:
- Partial migration. This procedure
can be quickly applied and does not require modifying the model data file.
However, inconsistencies between VS2DH 1.0 and 3.0 data definitions are maintained.
These inconsistencies are automatically resolved in the model code. However, this
feature might not be maintained in future versions.
- Full migration. This procedure
may be more time consuming than partial migration, and requires modifying the
model data file. However, after full migration, the data file is fully consistent
with VS2DT 3.0.
Note:The migration procedure needs to be applied only once.
After migration, the data can be loaded to the postprocessor as follows:
- Click the "File" menu and then click "Load". A dialog box is displayed.
- Navigate to the directory containing the namelist file
and double click on the namelist file.
The first time you load the model data, you will have to:
You may save the above settings to file as follows:
- Click the "File" menu and then click "Save Settings". A dialog box is displayed.
- Navigate to the desired directory, and enter the name of the file to store
the settings.
- Click OK.
The next time you load the model data, you may restore the saved settings as follows:
- Click the "File" menu and then click "Load Settings". A dialog box is displayed.
- Navigate to the directory containing the settings file and
double click on the file name.
